We took this beautiful scene as we were traveling in Southern Oklahoma. If you will notice, the fence and the grass close to it are very blurry…but the scenery farther out is clear. That’s because we were traveling 70 miles an hour when the picture was taken. The cows seem to be eating peacefully in their pasture.
Life is like this picture. Up close…things like tragedies, hard times and heartache, are blurry and we try to figure out ‘why’. It is hard to focus when our mind is on the “Why things like this happen.” But when you look at the ‘big picture’ of God and His eternity…it becomes more clear and trusting Him becomes easier. Studying God’s Word and applying it to our lives helps us to focus on the big picture of life. We really need to focus on the “Big Picture” and our lives will begin to make sense and have purpose while we live here on this earth.
